Rosie and her Grandfather take a night time adventure past the giant bob trees, frangipani trees, through the mangroves, and over the mudflats to the reach the staircase to the moon.

This book was inspired by the illusion of golden staircase of the moonlight on the mudflats at low tide in Broome, Western Australia.

while I liked the idea of the story it didn't quite build up the excitement level for me, and one of the illustrations didn't match the storyline.
