These two animals did not like each other and they would fight about everything. One day the cats toy fall in a lake and the dogs toy was caught in the tree. They had no other choice but to help each other. Since that day, they became friends. In this book a cat and a dog live in the same house but do not get along. They tease one another, and threaten on another until they realize that they can no longer get their special toys because the cat cannot swim and the dog cannot climb the tree to reach their toys. This problem allows them to work together and help one another. The book is a great tool for asking questions of children and having them come up with a solution to the predicament of the cat and the dog. I love this book! There is a version that uses both English and Spanish too! So cute! A cat and a dog fight and fight, until they realize they need eachother to get their toys. The cat dropped the toy in the water, the dog lost his ball in the tree, so they found out they needed eachother to retrieve their toys. This is a book about friendship and learning how to get along even if you may think you have nothing in common with someone else. A cat and a dog live in the same house. They fought all of the time until one day they needed each other. The dog's ball got stuck in a tree, but he can't climb and the cats mouse went in the water, but he can't swim. They both realized they could help each other and became the best of friends. Though this probably is not a book that could be used for much of a lesson, besides foreshadowing, it would be a great book to have in the classroom. no reviews | add a review
