When a group of vegan terrorists threaten to blow up the world's two most important leaders along with half of Shanghai, the job somehow falls to the curmudgeonly feng shui master C.F. Wong and his over-enthusiastic assistant, Joyce, to save Shanghai, the world, and one poor potentially explosive white elephant.

I usually rate this writer highly but this mystery was a all over the place. ( )

Vegan terrorists in Shanghai! Just what are you eating? The mind boggles, and the writing is first rate in this unique mystery novel. The squeamish bits will make the reader squirm, and the lessons on feng shui and physics will educate even those who didn't pick up a mystery book to learn something! ( )

Surreal story of militant vegan terrorism in China, battled against by feng shui detective Mr Wong. Terrorists are trying to assassinate the US President with an exploding elephant. Surreal? Yes. But also very funny. ( )
