This is Conan's Middle eastern tour. It covers his time as a pirate named Amra in Howard's analogous Caspian Sea, and up into the Great Eurasian Steppe. It's diverting nonsense. De Camp edits the book well, and his act of piety somewhat elevates the material, in my opinion. Those who like this sort of thing, will. ( )
