These are the stories of unique women whom the author attempts to understand. They appear generous, wicked, cowardly, brave, outgoing or even timid. All of them are original, and some appear even more impressive through their extraordinary adventures. Montero portrays Frida Kahlo, Simone de Beauvoir, and the Bronte sisters among others.… (more)
