The Parallax is about seeing things differently. We’ve all experienced watershed moments, times when tumultuous events collide with our lives, sending us down a rabbit hole of anger, fear, confusion, and despair. The story begins with Francis Ryan Beck, a Captain in the Atlanta Police Department, and his wife Sarah, who are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary in a cabin in the Colorado Rockies. World events collide with their plans, forcing a reexamination of their relationship. As readers move through the story, they connect with their personal story, enabling improved personal and professional effectiveness. Our stories are with us wherever we go, facilitating or creating barriers to our success. Discovering our personal story help us to see things differently, creating the opportunity to change self-limiting paradigms. As the story concludes, readers are urged to join those who have discovered the secret to managing these difficult situations. ( )
