In ‘Driving Operational Excellence’ Ron Crabtree has amazingly gathered the thoughts of various LSS experts into 24 individual, yet coherent, chapters. Each of which is a starting map for any Process Improvement Specialist to excel in his/her career.

In addition to giving the reader the ability to pick and choose from the wealth of methodologies, tools, and techniques, the book allows one to be so creative in creating hybrid methodologies that seamlessly apply to any customized work environment. I have marked many chapters for further review and consideration in my work development.

Although each chapter represent a primer reference to the associated topic, it gives a food for thought and many moments of ah-ha. You can open any chapter and read it independently and still get a complete understanding of the topic. The book is well-structured with consistent Lessons Learned and Conclusions paragraphs after each chapter.

I found this book a must-have for any PI professional who is keenly willing to advance his career in the fields of Lean, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, the Quality Management field in general. ( )
