Edgar Cayce, the `Sleeping Prophet' (1877-1945), the most documented psychic, left over 14,000 Readings covering a variety of subjects. These Readings are available at the Edgar Cayce Center (Association for Research and Enlightenment) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The author has selected and studied a number of Cayce's `health readings' to bring about this remarkable book.

This home care manual deals with many topics relating to healthy skin and hair. The role of diet, elimination, circulation, the thyroid, remedies for specific skin and hair problems, and baldness, are addressed. The therapies are holistic. The natural ingredients for the remedies are available at the Cayce Center or the many stores that carry holistic health items/products.

The therapies have a double effect - natural healing using natural products, and relaxation. A few minutes on self-care every day is a good investment toward long-term health. So is this book of wonders, thanks to the revered `clairvoyant diagnostician' who has helped many and continues to do so through his Readings.

The book is easy reading, with short sections. Step-by-step directions are given on how to make lotions, shampoos, cleansers and skin fresheners.

Thorough research work has gone into this simple-looking book. The author and editor have done a highly efficient and effective job. ( )
