THE FIREMAN AND NURSE LOVEDAY is part of the St Piran's Hospital series and is a Medical romance story by Kate Hardy.

Nurse Flora Loveday seriously lacked self confidence and preferred to spend time with children than to date. When hot and handsome fireman Tom Nicholson showed an interest in her, she doubted in her ability to attract his attention and as well as in his interest.

Tom, himself was forced into the role of fatherhood by the accidental death of his sister and her husband, as he took in and looked after his orphan nephew, Joey. After the loss of both his parents, Joey had shuttered down and withdrawn in an emotional shell.

But Flora, who was a natural in the company of children, managed to break down Joey’s barriers and brought a smile to his face.
Now she believed fireman Tom was just grateful to her because of Joey. As she believed herself not to be his type. While Tom knew Flora’s bond with Joey was invaluable, he also felt attracted to her.

It was a sweet love story. The passion and sensuality in their love-making was very touching. Tom’s sensitivity in understanding Flora and as he tried to awaken the passion she tried to hide touched my heart.

The interaction with Joey, was also very emotional.
The depth of characterization and intense emotional scenes amid the medical and fire fighting drama made this story believable.

I finished the story in one sitting as I wanted to know what would happen next, and had the happy mushy feeling in my heart by the time I ended it. I gladly give it 5 stars. ( )
