Loading... Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9 Volume 1: Freefallby Joss Whedon, Andrew Chambliss (Author), Georges Jeanty (Illustrator)
![]() None No current Talk conversations about this book. I'm back on the Buffy bus! This was pretty good-3.5 stars. I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue after the way season 8 ended, but I think season 9 is going to be good. I just love it that they continued the series in comic book form after the TV series was canceled. It's been great to have new stories about my favorite monster fighter. ( ![]() Meh. Might have outgrown this series. So things have gone back to s'normal, as much as it ever was in Buffy-verse. I'm glad, frankly, that there aren't any more uber-powerful nasties raining out of the skies anymore. It was making me think of Bleach. The change of pace was great and I love meeting new possible scoobies without being overwhelmed by massive hoards of teenage girls with empowerment issues. This season 9 seems a lot better than season 8. Let's see if book #2 confirms that impression. This comic series continues on from the TV show; an interesting approach. Buffy finds herself adrift in San Francisco, dealing with the consequences of destroying 'the Seed' and putting an end to magic. no reviews | add a review

Season 8 ended with a bang that cut the world off from magic - culminating in another set of world-ending problems. Buffy has left her best friend, Willow, powerless, and brought an end to a millennia-long tradition of superpowered girls. By day, Buffy is a twenty-something waitress with no real direction, and even though magic is gone, she's still a Vampire Slayer by night. Bigger problem? Vampires are becoming an epidemic...of zompires! No library descriptions found. |
