This story takes place in two places. The first is in Malaya where a group of women and children are marched all over because the Japanese do not have a camp to put them in. They are helped by an Australian POW and by the people in the villages. After the War Jean Paget learns that the Australian man who helped them is alive, she had presumed he died. She tracks him and he tracks her. They meet in Australia to see if the love they felt for each other can withstand two cultures and a War. Great acting by all. ( )
