Shall we tell the President is typical of Jeffrey Archer books. He tells a good story that is easy to read. The book has good suspense and it keeps the reader engaged. ( )

The revised edition of the book takes place in the late 1990s or early 2000s, and the threatened president is Florentyna Kane, the (fictitious) principal character in Archer's The Prodigal Daughter.
