This is fourth of the series and I loved it every much. This book deals with Sinclair's sister father and Willow. Mrs. Hattie is also involved as well. The sisters all face different things in the book.

You learn about Ida and Tucker Raines a bit about them. You lean about each of the Sinclair sisters or about their family. This book is mostly about Harlan Sinclair and Mrs. Hattie, mostly about Willow Peterson as well. Tucker's sister.

The book is about two widows and a second chance at love. There are other surprises though out the book. I really enjoyed this book along the with the series. Now understand that I have yet to read the first two books in this series. I read and own the last two books. Those books are called "The Bride That Wore Blue", "Twice the Bride". ( )

I don’t know about you, but I like to have all the loose ends of a story tied up when all is said and done. That’s what happens in Mona Hodgson’s Twice a Bride. The setting is the same as in the prior three books in the series, Cripple Creek, Colorado. The year is 1898, and the town of Cripple Creek is growing rapidly.
Trenton Van Der Veer has moved to Cripple Creek to settle down after being a traveling photographer for several years. He is also running away from God and a broken betrothal. He is ready to expand his business to include portrait paintings, so he needs to hire someone.
Willow Peterson is a widow who has moved to Cripple Creek to start a new life, living close to her brother. She has lived through great tragedy and realizes she wouldn’t have made it through to the other side without God. She lives at Miss Hattie’s boardinghouse and is friends with the Sinclair sisters. Willow needs a job to support herself and longs to find a job that involves doing what she loves…painting.
Willow and Trenton have a rocky start to their relationship, with both of them not wanting to enter into a relationship other than for business reasons. Neither is looking to get married or find love. As they continue to work together, they realize they have much in common and the unthinkable happens; they fall in love. Trenton even goes to church once just to see Willow. He hasn’t been to church in years due to a preacher from his past telling him he was possessed by demons because he stutters! Willow shows him as well as tells him about God and how He has sustained her and continues to sustain her.
Miss Hattie finds love for herself in this story. We finally get to see the Sinclair sisters reunited with their father, and he brings a surprise with him. Each of the sisters is now married to a strong Christian man. Mr. Sinclair has raised four devout Christian daughters he can be proud of.
I finished this book quickly and felt satisfied with all the happy endings. It was encouraging to see Willow be vulnerable and share her past and her faith. Sometimes that can be so difficult for us. I hope you pick up a copy to read the end of an entertaining series.
My rating is 3.5 stars.

TWICE A BRIDE by Mona Hodgson is an exciting inspirational Historical Romance set in 1898 Cripple Creek,Colorado. #4 in "The Sinclair Sisters of Cripple Creek",but can be read as a stand alone. See,"Two Brides Too Many","Too Rich for a Bride",and "The Bride Wore Blue". "Twice A Bride" is the conclusion to a wonderful tale of life in Colorado, young women who makes a life against all odds, faith, and finding love. Follow, Willow Petersen,a young widow, who dreams of becoming an artist, and Trenton Van Der Veer,a photographer and wealthy widow on a journey of family bonds, life in a small Mountain town, dealing with grief and loss, dreams, hope, and finding love in the broken lives of two widows. A powerful and compelling story of second chances and finding love again. I have enjoyed this whole series and hate to see it end,but all good things must end. The women of Cripple Creek where an excellent show of women during the 1800's. I would recommend the title, especially, if you enjoy historical romance, Americana,Colorado, inspirational stories, and anyone who enjoys a great story. Received for an honest review from the publisher.

This is the 4th book in the Sinclair Sisters of Cripple Creek series. Willow Peterson is the sister in law to the Sinclair sisters. She moved to Cripple Creek after losing her husband in an accident to be closer to her brother, Tucker, the pastor in town. Very talented as an artist, she secures a job with Trenton, the owner of the photography studio as a portrait painter. It was pretty predictable knowing that she would fall in love with her employer but all in all it was a fun read and I enjoyed all the characters. ( )

Willow Peterson has had a tough several years lately. After the unexpected death of her husband, she sunk into a deep depression that found her in a sanitorium, unresponsive to anyone or anything for a time. Now living in Cripple Creek near her brother and new sister-in-law, Willow is eager to prove herself as a painter and step into the future God has for her. Working for Trenton Van Der Veer's Photography Studio is helping her accomplish both goals, but will the man become more important to her than the job? And what (or who) has her landlady, Miss Hattie, acting like a schoolgirl?

Mona Hodgson is quickly becoming one of my favorite current authors! This installment of the Sinclair Sisters is a sweet conclusion to the series, filled with hope and second chances, including some new blessings for the beloved Miss Hattie. (Note: while it's not necessary to have read the rest of the series, it will help as there are many characters to keep track of!). I loved these two love stories intertwining with each other, and overlapping with the continuing journeys of the original Sinclair Sisters.

My only complaint with this book is it seemed too quick and easy. It seems these romances go from hello to honeymoon in a matter of mere weeks! And despite the painful pasts of both Willow and Trenton (and Hattie and Harlan, for that matter), there wasn't as much depth to the story as I expected. Even the "conflict" of the story was so quickly and easily pushed aside. I did miss the third book of the series (The Bride Wore Blue), so maybe Willow's past was addressed a bit more there? Either way, I find it a bit unrealistic and unsatisfying that these characters had only the briefest conversations, with each other and with themselves, about the issues from their past. I would have liked to dive a bit more into those issues of grief and judgement. Even the matter of Trenton's salvation seemed a bit rushed and simple, overcoming a lifetime of hurt from the church in just two pages.

That being said, I did enjoy this book. It was a lovely read with wonderful characters. For fans of historical fiction/romance, you can't miss this series! I always feel a little bad giving criticism, especially when the author seems to be such a sweet person (at least according to her Facebook), but if nothing else, I have to be honest. And I honestly like this series!

All in all, this book earns 4/5 stars from me! Recommended. ( )
