Lovely photos, fascinating information - I learned stuff I didn't know. I liked how the author struck a balance between sympathy for singleton's fascination with twins for the sake of them being twins, and sympathy for twins who are people defined by other aspects of their lives & personalities (not just the fact that they are twins).

I wanted a little bit more about fraternal twins, though - for example, I've wondered if the fact that they're the same age and raised in the same set of circumstances leads to them being more similar than singleton siblings?

I've also wondered if identical twins ever diverge significantly - the science part near the beginning of the book implies that they can, but do they? The author is more taken with all the 'both married a Linda, and re-married a Betty' stories that we've heard before.

But for an impulse grab at the library, I'm happy. I think interested schoolchildren would benefit from reading this. ( )
