This book was kindly emailed to me by the author as a pdf. It is a charming story of two 12 year old girls who come into possession of a magic set that transforms their lives and involves a talking cat and an evil entity from another world - two of the classic elements of good science fantasy! Admittedly, as a 46 year old, I'm not the key audience for this, but I really liked it. It's refreshing to rebalance one's reading sometimes between grimmer and more serious adult reads. 5/5 ( )
