Maggie lived her entire life without hope until one man showed her what it meant to be loved. Six years ago, that darkness stole him away. Without him, she's surrendered herself to an existence she doesn't know how to escape. A.L. Jackson pulled me in this time. This book touched my heart somewhere deep. Maggie, what a poor soul. She has endured nothing but abuse her whole life. She doesn’t feel she deserves to have anything else but. She has always loved William with a love that has lasted, even in his absence of six years. She made the mistake that day six years ago that sealed her fate with Troy.

William has returned home after running from his love and heart break that is Maggie. He has shunned everyone from his past all of these years. Now his aunt is dying, and he knows that he must return back to his hometown…. He knows it will crush him to see her after everything that happened in the park. The only thing he has done since he left was try to put her out of his mind. Now, even before he got the call to return home, he is plagued by these dreams that have left him scared and breathless. He is drawn to something in that town that is literally haunting his dreams.

Sometimes haunted dreams doesn’t mean a haunted reality. Sometimes making the wrong decisions can lead to a future that may or may not have existed otherwise. This is not your typical unrequited love story. It is a story of love and tragedy. This book will cut you deep, but will leave you with a calm peace in your heart. ( )

It's been a while since I've read a book that affected me so much. There were times I was heartbroken, then filled with joy, followed by getting knocked down a peg or two and sobbing.

In many ways Will doesn't really grow up until close to the end of the book. He's still that scared boy with a secret. His family is everything it should be. Loving parents and a sibling who's there for you no matter what. Past events shaped him to be a cold man devoid of feelings. Spending time with this family helped Will soften up and realize he still wants what he wanted all those years prior.

Maggie is an exceptional character. She has gone through so many horrible things in her life. Even though she tries to keep her real self hidden, I admire her strength. She's endured so much to make things better for little sister, and her family.

Jackson brings forward the ugly truths about domestic violence. Most choose to turn their heads and not acknowledge the problem. It just takes that one person who cares enough to risk anything in order to help. Can love overcome the obstacles put before Will & Maggie???

Grab tissues you WILL need them. Just sayin'. ( )

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review

This book is emotional and I'm warning you to have the tissues to hand when reading.

I found this to be a truly awesome read, showing us that there are second chances in life.

It was a fantastic ploy and storyline and the characters were brilliant.

It really is up there with the best of them ( )

Reading A.L Jackson's books is like that old saying, women who give birth forget how painful it is so they will do it again. Every one of this amazing author's books has brought out every emotion. I have learned to strap on my seat belt whenever I pick one up. When we Collide had me wanting to fight for Maggie and wanting to destroy Troy. this was an am a zing story of William and Maggie finding the love they didn't think they could have and standing up for that love. the whole ride had me on my seat waiting to see what was coming next. This is a must read if you love a happy ending and tons of emotion.

I received this book from the author for my honest review ( )
