Ever read a book that has had so much hype, and that everyone seemed to love, however, you just weren’t blown away like everyone else? I seem to find that a lot lately. I am not saying I didn’t like this book; I did. It just wasn’t the ”OMG this book is great” kind of book.

Lane is an intern for a big New York ad agency. Noel is now a big rock star. These two have a steamy and heart breaking past. They were high school sweethearts. Well, until Lane selfishly dumped him before she went off to college. After having his heart stomped on and his family turning their backs on him for wanting to pursue his dream instead of college, Noel embraced the rock star life style….. Until Lane came back into his life.

Lane has taken the task of heading up Noel and his band’s new charity campaign. Noel has ensured that she is the only one on this project in order to gain her back. Lane can’t seem to resist his charm and the love they still share. She does her best to not cross the line of professionalism, but sometimes old habits and feelings just won’t allow the temptation to pass. Eventually, they both have obstacles they need to hurdle and heal from. The question is, can their love survive those secrets or are they doomed to not have the love they both have longed for over the last few years?

I can’t put my finger on why I didn’t absolutely love this book. I noticed some similarities between this book and another book I read not too long ago, but cannot figure out what book it is. I seemed to know Noel’s secret from the get-go. I can see where people really loved it, but I just liked it. Don’t let my just liking the book turn you off though, it is a good book, it just didn’t hit me the way I had anticipated. ( )

WOW Just WOW! I loved Lanie and Noel.. I loved Mike, Riff, Audrey, and every other character that made an appearance into this book. It was absolutely awesome. I adored every character in this book even the girl at the concert that got her ass whipped because she was a GRADE A WITCH! I was so invested in the characters of this book that I think the only reason it was not a five star for me is because the first 20% of the book (leading up to the plot) I truly almost laid this book down as a DNF.

There were so many twists and turns in this book that one minute you think you know what is going to happen and the next minute you are sitting there with your jaw touching the ground deciding whether you want to laugh, cry, scream, yell, throw a fit, throw your Kindle, okay you get my point here. Lanie was a likable character well at the end of the book she was. I liked her because she was such a B**** but hated her because she was always so B****Y. Does that make sense to anyone but me?? Noel is a god in my eyes but also tended to remind me of a love sick puppy dog not the hot rocker that he was. He was great, in other words I have to say I loved the book. I loved the fact that I could have so many emotions.. and reminds me sometimes the lost loves can help you recover from a world of grief.

Esa frase me atrapó en el inicio del libro, peeero... allí terminó la magia.

Todo en este libro parece alargarse demasiado y luego, de pronto,BOOM todo terminó sin ningún tipo de cierre. Noel pasa, en un milisegundo, de "te odio por romperme el corazón" a "te amo y no puedo vivir sin ti". Creepy. Y la protagonista, ni siquiera recuerdo el nombre, puede ser totalmente... bueno, basta decir que ella es lo peor de la historia.

Riff es lo que salva un poco todo, y es el porque le di a este libro tres estrellas en vez de menos.

Realmente, no hacía falta un segundo libro, todo pudo haberse solucionado en este FACILMENTE, pero, todos sabemos como funciona el mercadeo, que al parecer últimamente es más importante que la literatura. ( )

Cute story... typical normal girl from the past hooks up with now famous rocker... but it was done well. I loved that he called her out from onstage and dedicated Ball Busting Bitch to her. My complaint with rock star stories is that the guy always goes from total badass to mushy pansy because he's in love. Just once, I'd like to see a badass chick steal a rocker's heart and be able to keep up with him, not try and change him (well, maybe nix the groupies)... sigh ( )
