Aside from her dad, who passed away when she was six, Cassidy Jameson has only ever trusted one man: her best friend, Tyler. So of course she follows him to Texas when he leaves for college. She just didn't expect to be so drawn to their new roommate, Gage, a gorgeous guy with a husky Southern drawl. The only problem? He's Tyler's cousin. Gage Carson was excited to share an apartment off campus with his cousin. He didn't mind that Tyler was bringing the mysterious friend he'd heard about since they were kids . . . until the most beautiful girl he's ever seen jumps out of his cousin's Jeep. Once again Molly McAdams has had me reeling from start to finish! Just as in Taking Chances, she has riled up so many emotions in one book! All of the ups and downs... the good the bad..... This book is definitely one to read! ( )

Wow the beginning of this book was great and deep. Although, after kassidy met Gage I found Tyler extremely annoying and started to hate his chapters. I don't understand how Kassidy could even side with Tyler. I couldn't wait for the ending of this book. I loved the jersey shirt that revealed that she was having a baby. ( )

I don't even know why it was OK because it was ridiculous. Cassi first tries to love her best friend Tyler, then runs to Gage when everything falls apart, then runs away with Tyler to face her past. Then he has to go back to school, leaving her alone, but she ends up running into the detective from her past while trying to deal with her present and falls in some type of love with him! Does this girl ever just stand up for herself and say "maybe I should just not be in a relationship and deal on my own rather than with a romantic interest," NO! She doesn't even try and get a career or any goals for herself. Her character is one dimensional in a "I need a boy to save me" kind of way. Annoying. However, I really liked Gage's character. He had passion and drive. He even has another side to him that we see when he is trying to get over Cassidy. He works hard, buys part of his family ranch, builds the business, even grows emotionally by not fighting Connor when comes back into Cassi's life trying to take her away from Gage. He finally gets it, girls don't just leave because a guy says so. Even Tyler grows by realizing he will lose Cassidy if he doesn't stop being a manipulative jerk. I was looking for more realistic drama (if there is such a thing) and a better female character. ( )
