Then the Jin villagers vanished. Now, one hundred years later, American historian Malcolm Wang and a team of archaeologists arrive at Jin Village to excavate the ruins. Finally!!! A true horror book. This one was just what the doctor ordered - scary & suspenseful. Once I started I had to finish!! The setting was just perfect. Keep those books coming Vincent Stoia!! I will definitely add you to my must read list!

This novel keeps you on your toes and you never know what's just around the corner - or in this case - a page turn away. Wonderfully written and the characters are well thought out and developed nicely. You will not want to put this novel down. The author has that gift of adding just enough descriptors so that you can see the situation- but not enough to weigh it down.

As an avid reader I am always looking for a new interesting author and did I find that in Vincent Stoia!! This book was incredible! I could not put it down and had moments that I was literally shaking with fear. The story it's self is unique and fascinating. It will leave you guessing until the end. The characters are likeable and interesting. The historical mystery portion of it was very interesting.

Highly recommend this book. ( )
