The first couple pages were like WOW. I loved that part of the story and guess if I had read the summary I would have been more prepared for the story. In the beginning I could immediately tell that Jessica was a strong woman who really thought about others. The scene leading up to her going after the baby reminded me of a prime time drama or actual days in the firehouse. After that, the book just fizzled for me. I think it would have been a better read if it had something to do with the beginning of the book. I was not able to really connect with the characters and maybe just maybe if it would have been longer I would have enjoyed it a lot more. ( )

This is a sweet short story about second chances. Can there be a second chance? ( )
