( ) Though I think the series could have been shorter and didn't need to stretch out as much as it did, I still enjoyed this book. America and Maxon did annoy me at times cause it was obvious how they felt about each other but neither one would admit it and it was frustrating. The competition could have ended long time ago if they had just been willing to admit their feelings. That being said it was still a good ending, not the greatest but still really good. I still want to read The Heir. Hopefully their daughter isn't as fickle about her feelings as America was. The time has come for one winner to be crowned. When she was chosen to compete in the Selection, America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown—or to Prince Maxon's heart. But as the end of the competition approaches, and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, America realizes just how much she stands to lose—and how hard she'll have to fight for the future she wants. I was waiting for this forever!!! I had to wait to read it due to school ending and all of that, but it was amazing. I loved the way things turned out. There is a lot of loss and sadness in this book but also a ton of happy things. Some of the girls even become friends that you wouldn't think would. I was just staring at the front page thinking, 'No. It is not over yet.' But it is and it was a really great way to end it. Put anything else Kiera Cass writes and I will read it in a heartbeat.
