I'm not sure exactly what it was about it that spoke to me, but my heart went out to Mark after hearing and seeing his struggle. I wanted to cocoon him and tell him it would all work out. Tyler was such a great match for him, and really, Mark was perfect for Tyler as well. They had to deal with the drama of Tyler being the best friend of Mark's son and how the family would deal with Mark being gay, let alone with Tyler, but I thought the feelings were written nicely. This was a sweet story that I actually really enjoyed. It did however, really need an editor. There were several errors in the book and far too many euphemisms. The latter is just a pet peeve, I can't stand them. Otherwise, worth the read. I'll keep my eye out for more books by this author. And that cover? Gorgeous. ♥ no reviews | add a review

This was a cute story on a number of levels. I thought it was interesting to see how both characters' families reacted to learning about the relationship and the complex dynamics that came into play. Sometimes I felt like the reactions were a bit contrived, but it didn't really detract too much from the overall story. I also was slightly confused by the age difference as it never really added up to me (did Mark and his wife have their son when they were 11 or something?), but that's another item that I was able to tuck away and not have it distract me.
In the end, it's a nice romance with a focus on finding and being true to yourself, and it's a generally enjoyable read. ( )
