"In K.A. Robinson's USA Today bestselling debut novel, Torn, Chloe hasn't had the easiest childhood. With a mother who was absent most of the time, she practically had to raise herself. Determined to start a new life and leave her demons behind, she heads to West Virginia University with her best friends Amber and Logan. On the first day of classes, she spots a student who takes her breath away. Drake is a pierced, tattooed bad boy, and no matter how hard she tries to fight it, he's all she can think about. Drake has never cared about anyone other than himself, but when Chloe takes the empty seat next to him in class, he is instantly drawn to her. Drake is left wondering whether this girl can take his cold, womanizing heart and alter him forever. Falling for each other was never a part of their plan, and when it happens, things do anything but fall into place. Long-hidden feelings are revealed and friendships are tested to the brink as Chloe and Drake become helplessly entwined in each other's love"--… (more)

I read this on my Nook. There were a few formatting and grammatical issues that were difficult to get past while I was reading, but it was a really good story, and I am looking forward to reading the next one. ( )

My rating is a strong 2.5 that I have bumped up to a 3.

Read my overall review of the whole series here! Spoiler Free!

Love triangles are not my thing. They drive me up the wall and become major turn-offs for me when I read a book. I'm all for a little tension with a possible interested party, but when a girl can't make up her mind about two guys she "loves", that's when I lose interest.

I missed that key line at the end of the plot summary and if I had clued into that earlier, I probably wouldn't have picked up the book. I liked it enough but not as much as I had hoped (I mean, everyone seems to be raving about this book here so I didn't think I could go wrong!)

If I take away the love triangle, I still don't see the love for this book. I didn't particularly enjoy the characters (they just seemed like stereotypes to me played at the highest level). There are a few hot scenes but that doesn't make a book. There is a bit of suspense and obvious drama unfolding but nothing I haven't really read before.

The abrupt ending of this book is the only reason I picked up the sequel Twisted. Truth be told, I would have been satisfied if the ending plot was resumed in an additional 50 pages and an epilogue was put on at the end as I didn't really see the need for a sequel.

If you like love triangles involving hot, tattooed & pierced rockers you will love this book. If you can't stand love triangles AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

A 4 star Read!

This book was terrific and I love me some Drake.. He was the absolute sexiest, intriguing, mysterious, and everything that I would need in my perfect dream man.

The only reason that I did not give this book a 5 is because Chloe -- well I almost loved her sometimes and I could not under any circumstances find any way to like Logan. I actually detested him and thought that he was a pain in the ass, whiny baby, whom needed to have some kung fu done on his head. I could not like him at all. I did not think he was the good boy I thought that he was a pain and the whole storyline with him drove me crazy.

I am definitely getting Twisted :)

This book falls into the “New Adult” category. It features a gorgeous college-aged protagonist who dresses slutty, drinks too much, and dances provocatively with total strangers, while simultaneously maintaining she can take care of herself and knows how to control herself. Of course she is nearly raped. But she is rescued by a Seemingly-Bad-But-Actually-Good hot guy who wants her.

But this hot guy, Drake, is not the only one who wants Chloe. Her BFF Logan, who has come to college with her, is secretly (but quite obviously) in love with Chloe. Logan and Drake instantly hate one another. As for Chloe, she is "torn" between the two of them.

Why is Chloe “torn”? Well, Logan is “so gentle and caring,” but we know what that means, right? DULL. Drake, on the other hand, is all “raw passion and danger.”

In the end, Chloe must stop hurting these boys and choose between them. She eventually does, but only after taking each of them for some very hot test drives, so to speak. ( )

Whew wee! I am as happy as Christian Grey in a Fredrick's of Hollywood! HOT DAMN! What. A. Book.

5 Bizillion stars!!!!!!!!!

Fist off let me say that this book was kindly given to me for a honest and fair review. and I can just add that it's now one of my favorite books!

OK OK calm down......*breathes*.

I could not put this one down. It was such a page turner wondering what was going to happen next. I found myself sitting in a grocery store parking lot so I could finish it! lol

OK now that is out of my system. On with the review...

Story follows a freshman in college named Chloe. A beautiful blonde hair blue eyed bombshell with a tell-it-like-it-is personalty and a rack to boot. She was easy to fantasy cast in my mind.

Next you have her totally gorgeous blonde, buff, BFF Logan who is totally drool worthy. I wanted to gouge out Chloe's eyes for the most part of the book for not seeing it sooner.

He was also easy for me to fantasy cast.

Finally FINALLY whew you have Drake Black. A totally womanizing bad boy who oozes sex appeal and is the lead singer in a band. (I know right?). He was extremely difficult to fantasy cast because he had so many different sides to him. There was the tattoos and piercing that screamed emo. The muscles that screamed male model hunk and the compassionate side that screamed sensitive, hopeless romantic. So I have two. The male model side and the lead singer of Red Hot Chili Peppers that is OMG hot hot.

Chloe instantly swoons over Drake when she see's him. He on the other hand plays the total ladies man and refuses to commit and give up his slutty ways. Meanwhile Logan wants nothing more than her love and commitment. SO SHE IS TORN.

"That doesn't change anything Drake. We're both so screwed up on our own but together we're a whirlwind. Nothing survives that gets in our path."

Who will she choose? She loves both in different ways and can't fathom life without either one of them in it.

The ending was amazing and it leaves you running and screaming for the next one.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU K.A. Robinson for such a wonderful series!!!!!!
