This was fun. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this book -- first published, apparently, in 1979 -- owes something to hallucinogens. The background images are super-trippy and the whole way the bear escapes from its various situations -- it all shrieks LSD to me.

More importantly, my 1yo was absorbed by it. ( )
