Considering this is a fairly short book, I got really attached to the characters. Korbin is someone who is used to being on their own. Or at least, he thinks he is. He doesn't realize how much Zain has come to mean to him until he disappears. Then is prepared to take on the ultimate bad guy to keep him safe. How can you NOT love that character? Zain is almost as awesome. He has some great moments where you can see the person he used to be and how he became the man he is. His story is sad but doable in this universe. There are a few open questions at the end of the book, but I think you get that with any ongoing series. I haven't read the others, but they are now on my TBR list. The only thing that would have made this book better was if there was a glimpse of how they are getting along in their life after this. The book kinda just end when they admit love for each other (did you not see that coming?). Perhaps in the next installment it will gift us with a small look at how they are getting along as a couple. I am definitely going to look for more books by this author as I like the characters she develops. Not to mention, this is an erotica so there was more sex then your average romance novel with it being graphic, but in this book I did not feel like it was over the top. The book wasn't even MOSTLY sex, even with the excuse of being a sex slave owner. Haha. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Quote: I don’t think people ever expect to fall in love. It’s just one of those things that sneaks up on you. ( )
