My first book by this author.

I do not really have time, at the moment, to put down anything detailed. I've about four minutes. I'll probably be back shortly to add more.

When this book opened, I didn't particularly like any of the characters, though most grew on me. Well, to a certain extent. My emotions, and thoughts kind of went on a roller coaster on this long book. My rating for the book like-wise bounced around. Heck, by the time I put a rating on here I was still hovering between putting 3 or 4 (though I'd have put it on the 3.5 shelf if I had put it on 3 stars).

Interesting to see something set in Northern Virginia. Course it wasn't in an area I knew, but still, that had been my home base for 30+ years. I've not read many books set there. And no, this isn't one where I could say 'yep felt like . . .' or 'no didn't feel like' Virginia. The book was a little to focused on a small tiny area. Mostly just one property. Not all the action occurred there, but most did. I've no real idea where in Northern Virginia it was set. ( )

Great light fun read. I was cheering for James and Bel the whole way. Can't wait for the next in this trilogy. Recommend for everyone. ( )
