Chelsea's hottie Blake Morgan III has reemerged from a nasty breakup. His marriage was a frigid disaster beyond repair, and he vows to be single-forever. Bruised, but still hot in Prada, he creates his Seven Desires wish list, his sexiest imaginings. Blake soon realizes there's only one man he may trust to make these uninhibited intentions come to fruition: his best friend Miguel Santana. Lower East Side multimedia artist extraordinaire Miguel Santana may be known as the cocky Latin stud in the city, but all he's wanted since college was Blake's hand in marriage. He was livid when Blake walked down the aisle with the wrong guy. Miguel has his own list titled the Seven Needs, which are quite contrary to Blake's dirty-boy deeds. They involve serious commitments, which may leave his new-to-the-singles-scene buddy sprinting for the door, destroying any hopes Miguel has for happiness. Can these two hunks conquer their intimate fears and love one another as only best friends can? Join the star-studded cast in The Manhattanites series and see for yourself!… (more)

This book was truly amazing. I've never been a fan of gay (mXm) literature but this book totally changed my opinion. I love and admire Avery Aster and her way of writing and I'm truly hooked on the Manhattanies. The series always has some very serious aspects in them even though most of the book can be taken with a bit of humor. In this it was alcohol addiction and HIV. In some other books it has been obesity and things like that. I like how these books makes the reader thing about the problems in this world while we can still enjoy our reading experience. Now I can't wait to read the next book. ( )

I love me some Avery Aster! Another great book by a great author. No you don't have to read this series in order but I always suggest it because it's the only way I read series. Blake and Miguel is just yumminess! This is a MM so if that isn't your thing I wouldn't pick it up. However if you like male on male action grab it today! ( )

I'm sorry to say that I will not be able to review this book.
Even though the blurb says, "Avery Aster's new full-length, standalone contemporary M/M romance novel." it clearly isn't. I have not read the first two books. While Ms. Avery does include a character glossary at the beginning of the book, it did not help me in understanding the extensive cast of characters in this book.
I stopped reading less than halfway through. I felt sometimes like it was worse than a soap. Far too confusing, far too often.

Blake's story contains a lot of MM sex and BDSM. This book is probably the most explicit, and while I've read quite a few book with explicit sex, this is the first one with explicit gay BDSM. I found it quite hot, but it's probably not everyone's cup of tea. If this had been my first Avery Aster book, I might view the series differently, but I've read each book in the Undergrad series and now in the Manhattanites series, so Blake's book felt like the natural progression.

I found Undressed to have much more storyline to it, and Unscurpulous to be a sexier love story, but Unsaid fits Blake's character. It is the right story for him.
