4.5 stars, I mostly loved this book. One thing threw me off was towards the end it tried to turn into a paranormal romance with the wolf. It didn't seem to start off that way so it kind of came out of left field. Loved the main characters, great mystery, I almost felt like I was reading an older Julie Garwood when her historicals rocked. Steamy love scenes that weren't raunchy. This book for me is a keeper.
