This is the collected Amazing X-Men run from the Age of Apocalypse storyline. I think this replaced the Uncanny X-Men during the period in which the Age of Apocalypse took place (based on the team within the book).

Here we are presented with part of Magneto's version of the X-Men put together to fight for Charles Xavier's dream (which he decided to continue after Xavier's death, which is what brought about this horror show called the "Age of Apocalypse").

This book was used to help bridge between many of the other titles created for the Age of Apocalypse series and helps connect X-Men Alpha and X-Men Omega (the opening and closing chapters of the Age of Apocalypse story) with all the other titles.

Good read, interesting to see the differences between characters in the main Marvel Universe and their Age of Apocalypse counterparts. Definitely better to have the whole series before jumping into this one, but it's not required. You'll pick it up as you go. ( )
