I read "Hook's Pan" in Kingdom Series Collection Part 2. I enjoy Marie Hall's writing. It is amazing how someone can come up with those wonderful twisted stories that are full of charm, humor, sensuality and sweetness. This novella is the fifth installment in the Kingdom Series. The Bad Five are not as bad as they are made out to be in the original fairy tales. They are just misunderstood and need the love and understanding from their true mate. Each of the characters is flawed with real issues that many will relate to. Their paths are never simple or straight forward, but there is someone for everyone, at least if Danika (their fairy godmother) has her say.

Caption James Hook is a pirate, drinks to much, and has his own code. He has already loved and lost and he only wants revenge against his nemesis Peter Pan. Will he be able to see Trisha as she is and open up his heart again?

Trishelle has a sad past and does not believe in love. She has two faces: the one that she shows the world and the more guarded, sad and distrustful of men side. Danika is convinced that Trisha's soul is an old one forever tied to Hook's.

This story has some great snappy dialogue. As Trisha and Hook get to know one another in conversation and some erotic encounters, they eventually learn to love and recognize their true bond.
This series is fun, adventures, exciting and enjoyable to read. It is made for the adult audience. I also enjoyed cameos of earlier characters. I will never look at the old fairy tails the same way again.

"3.5 out of 5 stars, two people learn to open their hearts again to someone new, if only fate and a demon bug or two can give them a helping hand...

Trisha and Hook are a stubborn, adventurous, and entertaining duo that makes you root for them as soon as they meet!"

GAH!!! I didn't want this series to end, and I'm thrilled to hear it's not going to!

BEST ONE OF THE SERIES! Seriously... Hook's story is my favorite of them all. First of all, he's just flat-out sexy as hell! Even his hook. Especially his hook. But Trisha makes this story. She's feisty, she's rowdy, she's a total shit-talker and takes no crap. My favorite kind of heroine!

I always knew Peter Pan was a dick! Whiny little brat! ( )

I have read all the books in the Kingdom series so far, save for Jinni's Wish. I find Hook's Pan to be my absolute favorite. It kept me reading until all hours of the night. Had to finish it in one sitting. I love the Bad Boys of the Fractured Fairy Tales. ( )

Book description

Trishelle Page has known pain in her life, but instead of it making her weak, she's stronger. Confident. That is until the day a fairy named Danika kidnaps her during her starring role in Peter Pan's play and tells her not only do fairy tales exist, but that she's the soulmate of the pirate they call Hook, making her question everything she ever thought she knew.

Captain James Hook is a man at the end of his rope. He's not the villainous bastard tales have made him out to be. So when the curvaceous blonde drops literally at his feet, he aims to prove it to her. If only to get her into his bed.

What neither one knows is that fate and magic are conspiring and they can deny the attraction all they want but their happily ever after is already written, it's just a matter of getting there.

INCLUDES: A bonus, free, novelette, Danika's Surprise, and a SNEAK PEEK at Moon's Flower, the bridge between the Bad Boys and the Dark Princess Saga.
