De stijl van Grossman is delicaat en adequaat. De compositie is complex, intrigerend. Ik zou die een schitterend boek moet vinden maar op één of ander manier raakt het mij niet.
Misschien te mooi, gekunsteld ? ( )

Erg, erg lange zinnen (en dan ben ik de vele, vele bijzinnen in de brieven van Paulus wel gewend). Niet boeiend, hoewel ik grote stukken van Waanzin en het eerste stuk van Haar lichaam weet het heb doorgeworsteld. Nee, andere boeken van David Grossmann boeiden me meer. ( )
