None No current Talk conversations about this book. Reference Lending Museum of Craft and Folk Art (San Francisco) Expert history of textiles - focussing on embroidery. Lovely illustrations, scholarly text. Husband bought it for me in London The only reason I gave this book 4 stars and not 5 is that both the print and the pictures are too small. However, even with the tiny print I found it very hard to put it down once I got started on it. Wow! In a very small space, there is an amazing amount of both general oversight of the history of textiles and detail about specific times and places. If you are even a little interested in the history of textiles, you NEED this book. BTW, mine was a gift from my brilliant husband. no reviews | add a review
