A weekend can mean many things. Mostly it is defined by "no work", but for Luke and Gage, who are in real need of a break from more than just work stress, it becomes a refuge, and an excursion into a world of D/s that is uniquely defined by them and their mutual needs. A lot of it is play, gentle teasing, and some creative orchestration on Gage's part – just to make sure Luke gets the relaxation he needs.

Luke has a stressful job as a teacher. He needs to be in charge all the time, so when he gets home and Gage takes over, that is exactly what he needs. Thing is, that doesn't mean he lets Gage get away with ordering him around, it just means he leaves the decisions as to what they do in bed (or any other spot they pick to have fun) to Gage. They're not in a 24/7 relationship, and the way they play isn’t really in serious scenes.

Gage is a great partner, and yes, he is a bit of a Dom, but what he really wants is to make sure Luke gets what he needs. There is some darkness in his past, and when he finally opens up about it, it does explain a few things abut his behavior. Above all, Gage always makes sure Luke enjoys himself and gets what he needs. The satisfaction of having his "boy" feel good is exactly what Gage needs. An ideal situation, really.

If you like your BDSM on the playful side, with partners who remain partners, even when doing a scene, and a Dom who isn’t too strict, if you enjoy reading about a partner who plans a whole long weekend around spoiling his better half, and if you're looking for a fun read with lots of kinky play, then you will probably like this short story.
