Using plastic overlays, the great cities of the world are shown from at least 100 years ago all the way back to biblical times in some cases. The history of the city, its founders, architects and histories of particularly famous structures are included. ( )

I just love the concept of this book. Each cityscape comes with an acitate gel page that lays over the cityscape and fills in (or takes away) bits and pieces so that the city appears as it did earlier in it's history. Very cool!
