Like the last book, would have been better by eliminating chapter 2

Third in the four book series about Wolf Squadron, a bunch of boats manned by survivors of a zombie apocalypse. In this installment Wolf Squadron is preparing to capture Guantanamo Bay and manufacture vaccine. It's John Dingo so there's going to be lots of guns and violence as the Marines but the beach. ( )

Takes the zombie post-apocalypse recovery to the point of having the necessary supplies to slowly and eventually retake the Earth. Story could end here, but I'd miss the rebirth aspect of apocalyptic fiction. ( )

The 3rd book in Ringo's zombie apocalypse series. 99+% of all humans have either been turned into 'zombies' by a virus or have been eaten by zombies. In the Atlantic, Wolf Squadron, lead by Steve Wolf and his family lead the effort to restore humanity. Steve and his daughters, known as Seawolf and Shewolf are by now survival and zombie fighting experts. They have now rescued a nucleus of survivors and start clearing Guantanamo Bay and some of the Caribbean islands, but discover they are missing a key component required to make a vaccine and have to go way out of their way to do a rescue and find the supplies. At this point in the story it is 'more of the same' from book 2, but it is still interesting to see where he is taking this concept. Along the way he continues to throw in some humorous references to TV and movie stars as either survivors or zombies. If you have to read one zombie apocalypse book.. ( )

The battles continue, and the struggle against zombies expands into the islands of the Caribbean, as the people of Wolf Squadron look for materials to produce more vaccine against the zombies flu virus. As the squadron absorbs more and more survivors, many without any type of military training, everyone must learn how to form a new society. Faith continues to be a bad-ass, but as their Marine numbers grow, she must become less grunt, more officer.

And that is HARD.

Highly recommended! ( )

Book description
With the world consumed by a devastating plague that drives humans violently insane, what was once a band of desperate survivors bobbing on a dark Atlantic ocean has now become Wolf Squadron, the only hope for the salvation of the human race. Banding together with what remains of the U.S. Navy, Wolf Squadron, and its leader Steve Smith, not only plans to survive—he plans to retake the mainland from the infected, starting with North America.
The next step: produce a vaccine. But for do that, Wolf Squadron forces led by Smith’s terrifyingly precocious daughters Sophia and Faith must venture into a sea of the infected to obtain and secure the needed materials. And if some of the rescued survivors turn out to be more than they seem, Smith just might be able to pull off his plan.
Once more, exhausted and redlining Wolf Squadron forces must throw themselves into battle, scouring the islands of the Atlantic for civilization's last hope.
