Tucker Simon has given up on love. After a tragedy, it's just not in the cards for him, and he wishes his family would get off his back. He's fine--or at least he thought he was--until a family wedding forces him to address a few things, namely his date, Abby Mathews. She's been put in the "friend" category, mostly because she deserves so much more than what he can give. But the more time that he spends with her, Tucker begins to think that maybe there is a chance for love after all. Abby Mathews has been in love with Tucker Simon since he walked into her family's bar nearly a year ago. But he's got baggage and heartache a plenty. His one-night-stands isn't going to lessen that no matter what he thinks. Tucker needs a friend, but Abby wants to give him more, and as they navigate their way through a weekend in Florida, their attraction can't be ignored. Abby has to make a choice. Does she cherish their friendship and take what she can get? Or does she go after what she really wants, which is Tucker's hear… (more)

before I start this review I want to say that I am not your typical boy meets girl boy loves girl story lover. Tucker Simon is a broken Man who wants to love and be loved, with one difference He is still legally married to a woman who has been missing for three years. this book makes you fall in love with tucker makes you feel bad for Abby and even better makes you want to keep reading until you know if they end up together.

Tucker's from a wealthy family, always in the spotlight and lost his wife when her plane disappeared. Abby is a bartender and artist that Tucker befriends. Things get hot and steamy after Abby agrees to go to a family wedding with Tucker. Tucker isn't always well behaved, has a lot of conflicting emotions as he hasn't yet let go of his missing wife.

The first in a series of 6 romances of the Simon family. Rich (naturally) handsome/beautiful (of Course), Talented, etc etc. Tucker Simon has a missing presumed dead wife and needs a plus one for a cousin's wedding, or else his mother will arrange the plus one herself. He asks Abby the barkeeper who he has poured his heart out to over the space of a year to be his plus one not knowing she is in love with him. Of course it all works out well, we meet the rest of the family who are going to be in their own books and get hints of their own romantic issues. NOT a steamy romance, all sex is implied by "What I will do to you" conversations, blushing and tightening trousers. OK if you like your romances tame. ( )

Nice romantic escape

I like the premises of this book with the hero needing closure. That was well done and makes for a very 'grown-up' story. The hero and especially the heroine, however, talk (and sometimes act) like teenagers, whereas they must be in their late twenties. I found this a bit weird at times.
I would like to give this author another go, though.
