A nice little book, a short in between during a sleepless night.

Speed, racing bicycles, racing bikes & racing cars. A story about a man, his life and the son who folloes in his footsteps.
Disbelieve that speed can kill. ( )

A nice, well-crafted novella about a father and son in Eindhoven. Life, death, speed, cycle racing, and the narrator's vaguely homoerotic attraction to his cousin's stubbly hair.

This was the Boekenweek gift in 1992: it's presented by the author as an "intermezzo" in his saga De tandeloze tijd. I haven't read the others, so I don't know how this book fits in. ( )
