Great picture book that teaches kids about cause and affect. Beautifully illustrated, silly, and fun- great for small children 0 - 6 ( )

This book has a great message behind it, which is be aware that everything in life has consequences. A fantastically interesting and fun read for kids. ( )

Except for the first and last two pages, this is a story made up of solely interjections. Each page is filled with words like “SPLOSH,” “yaaaaargh,” and “screeeech.” I enjoyed how each interjection was written in an appropriately sized font based on the size of the event. Also, each interjection was placed next to the object or animal making the noise and did not stick to a straight line, creating a very different way of reading. Each event led to the next page where the next terrible thing would happen. There was not much of a plot, but the big idea was cause and effect. This story would be good for children to learn cause and effect, and also about interjections. The illustrations were imaginative and unique which went along with the theme of the story. Although there is not much of a plot, I believe that this story would capture the attention of any child ranging in age, because I enjoyed it myself. ( )
