Wow this was an intensely emotional read not in bad way but, the emotions portrayed by the characters just somehow filtered through my own heart. this novel is both tragic and triumphant and when I initially finished reading I sat there thinking how am I going to write this review when I don't even know how to feel about this book my emotions were so mixed up I just got so drawn in. This is a tale of forbidden love and love gone so wrong its almost impossible to make right. Angels, and demons, and humans and the fight for a two souls This is a great a novel a tragic paranormal romance and I will be sad if the story ends here because even the she did triumph Kiriela really deserves a happy ending. no reviews | add a review
DANTE'S KISS: a supernatural love story about temptation and desire, the fragility of being human, and the challenges of being young in the Hispanic Caribbean. Please Note: There are two versions of this cover. The content is identical, as follows:It's hard to be sixteen, almost anywhere, but it's even more difficult to be a sixteen-year-old-three-quarter angel when the one quarter human side kicks in--especially when that humanity comes to life in Puerto Rico. When Kiriela and her almost-boyfriend cause chaos in heaven, she is forced to live in exile with her parents in Puerto Rico. But because she is not fully immortal, Kiriela's father is overprotective. Fearing that she won't be strong enough to fight against the forces of evil that follow their family, Kiriela's father keeps her in a protective bubble. But when they move to Puerto Rico, he loses control over her. Finding her feuding parents too occupied with their own problems to deal with hers, Kiriela slips out from under her father's radar and finds the freedom she craves. But what this young angel does not understand when she falls for a human boy named Dante is that when the supernatural collides with the natural world, something as simple as a kiss is not as simple as it seems. In this story we learn about different levels of Heaven that I haven’t heard or seen before, and different Classes of Angels. And, of course, there is also Satan and his demons. This is definitely a Teen/Young Adult story, as the major characters are teens. ( )
