From USA Today & Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author Jewel E. Ann comes Undeniably You, an angsty and unforgettable romance.

Sydney Montgomery doesn't plan to make a career out of house-sitting.

It's just the means to an end. In a month, she's off to visit the galleries of Europe and finish up the degree she needs to make her career as a museum curator. The life she's been working for is finally within reach.

In the meantime, she's getting paid to sip margaritas and wrangle a naughty dog poolside in California.

When the pool guy shows up with his hot body, cool persona, and eyes like iridescent blue oceans, she's mesmerized. Except Dr. Lautner Sullivan isn't the pool guy at all. He's a college wide receiver turned pediatric resident that fate delivered to the wrong house.

Lautner is every girl's dream, but Sydney is not every girl. She's immune to rainbows, fairytales, surf-side picnics, and the "L" word.

Thirty days is all she plans to give him, but fate wants to give them forever.

Undeniably You was undeniably brilliant! I started this thinking I was going to listen to a light-hearted, sexy contemporary romance. Having previously read End of Day by the same author, I should have guessed it wasn't going to be quite so straightforward.
Sydney is house- and dog-sitting for her aunt in Palo Alto before going off to Paris. She has her career and life planned out, and it doesn't include a serious relationship until she has established her career because Sydney is determined not to repeat her mother's "mistake". However, within a few days, she meets a slightly awkward but really sweet vet, called Dane, and the extremely hot and sexy "pool guy", Lautner, and the fun begins.
The first part was, as expected, really funny with lots of witty banter and some hilarious scenes as Sydney dates and gets to know pool guy intimately and passionately but with the clear understanding of the definite time limit on their relationship. Then, out of the blue, there was this epic WTF-moment, which caused me to rewind the audio twice to check that I had heard correctly. What followed turned far more serious, was complicated, heart-wrenching, full of angst and drama and left me wanting to strangle Sydney several times for some truly irrational decisions. My feelings towards Dane and also Lautner went through a rollercoaster of emotions as well, from feeling sorry to getting angry to swooning. Jewel E. Ann certainly knows how to develop characters and create powerful plots. I truly 100% loved it. But I should warn that the book contains certain plot developments that will not sit well with some readers.
Told from Sydney's point of view, except for a tiny bit at the end, the narrator did a great job portraying female and male characters and expressed the broad range of emotions very skillfully.

I'm not sure how to rate this one. There were some funny parts in this book, but I didn't think it was as funny as everyone else thought it was. But per the usual, the female MC was annoying and stupid. Sydney was such a bitch about leaving the first time, and then not bothering to tell Lautner about the baby. I honestly don't know why he was nice to her after finding out. And really... she had no idea what he wanted her to say all of those times he kept telling her to just say it?! UGH! I really wanted to smack her! Enough about the annoying female MC. I LOVED Lautner. He was funny and sexy, and so damn sweet. He should have stayed with Emma and left Sydney to suffer.
