This is the sexiest Speculative Fiction that I've read, and Ms. Jeffers took me *there* without my even realizing it. ::applause::

I can imagine the world as described in this wonderful story, since we allow corporations to dictate the use of our natural resources. Life really could come to this. I can also imagine those with wealth isolating themselves in safety and comfort while the poor have to try to survive.

I can also imagine another species saving us from ourselves -- I've often wondered if they might be here already.

In just a few very descriptive pages, I was immersed in the world Ms. Jeffers created and when the tale was done, I wanted more.

I encourage you to read this. You can thank me later. ~Jali Cook ( )
