Jacques Barbosa, now retired from the French Military, takes on more than he bargained for, returning to Ethiopia in search for two rogue militia who have shot his ex-wife, concert pianist Elizabeth Mallory. Book description
Ethiopia 1994- Sir Braxton Jerret head of British foreign Defence projects, needs a covert team sent into Mali to investigate thefts from a British Mining consortium. 
Enter ex French military Colonel Jacques Barbosa and his partner Hendrik ‘Dutch’ Palese. Destination Ethiopia; to find Ato Kahlil, an ex-special forces soldier who has been tasked with surveillance of two rogue soldiers.
 Vying for Jacques attention are Claire Moser an MI6 rogue agent and ex-wife Elizabeth Mallory, a world renowned concert pianist; both women are congenial liars, but which one is telling the truth?
Cue Mali, the team makes a decision to follow the ore train into Senegal. An accident at the river border crossing, destroys their chances of finding out the truth. Have they been betrayed by their own country? And are the theft of precious blue stones worth risking the contract.
 Discovering the train has been divided into two, the team decide to split up, Dutch follows the locomotive north, with one new attachment - the old presidential carriage. Inside Ato has positioned a kidnap victim, Kadista a woman intent on keeping her own secrets.
 But when Claire Moser links up with one of the rogue soldiers and learns the train carriage holds more than they bargained for, she needs to contact Sir Braxton in London. Immediately. She knows her information is going to spark an International incident.
Jacques and Dutch join up with the French Foreign Legion to take down the new country’s dictator, self-appointed General Maddox who wants his gold returned at any cost, and that includes blowing up the whole train to get it. 
Satellite images revealed large force is heading towards them. Trapped between the Ore train and the manic General, Jacques takes a chance, only to discover one woman has been leading them on all along
