Adult Reader Reaction: The story is cute and has an interesting twist at the end. It took me a couple of times reading the book to realize the connection between the chase and the tree growing. I normally like books where the pictures help tell the story, but in this case, there are too few words. The author seems to want to build suspense with Chef Armand hiding under the table, but when you turn the page the thief is there.

Pros: A sweet surprise for young readers. With very little text, kids who like to read books in their own way, will have lots of different ways to tell this story.
