![]() Books Read in 2015 (600) No current Talk conversations about this book. This book was not as engaging as her other books in the series. I found myself not truly connecting with the main character. America and Maxon, the main characters of the first 3 books of the series, are relegated to the back burner with only slight mentions throughout. I don't get the sense of family and connection that I got through the first three books. ( ![]() Oh God the whining! I loved the first books and the whole selection process. But. This. Girl. Ugh! If I were the kingdom I'd be revolting too! Really hoping the final book was worth mucking through this one! Jag måste seriöst sluta läsa sånt här skräp. Hur populära böckerna än må vara bland mina låntagare. Quarto Livro da séria A Seleção It’s been a while since I completed the first three books in “The Selection” series and saw Maxon and America get their happy ending (at last!) Now we have Aidyln, their daughter who will one day be queen of Illia, competing in a selection of her own in order to distract the country from how unhappy it is with the pressures of trying to reform from the former caste system. In many ways, this feels like the original series, but not in a bad way. The original books were certainly enjoyable. Aidyln doesn’t want to get married, and is keeping all her boys at a distance. Some seem like more of contenders than others, and perhaps the most interesting relationship is between her and her twin brother, Aaron. Plus, it’s nice to see what happened in the lives of all the original characters from the first three books in the last twenty years. Will definitely read on to the final book to see who she chooses!
