I have not read previous books in this series. I found the opening scene boring and confusing--the author seems to assume that the reader knows who the characters are (which I didn't). The opening scene didn't catch my interest enough for me to read more. ( )

This one was just as good as the first six! Red didn’t play a major role and I missed him, but I got over it. Myrtle was sharp as ever. I sensed something was amiss with the guilty party, but unlike Myrtle, I didn’t draw the right conclusions. ( )
