Good basic introduction to DNA testing for genealogical purposes in a "single" format. He spends most of his time discussing expectations, the types of tests, and the testing companies. The only thing I didn't like is the few pages spent plugging Hill's previous book. Those pages, which were largely excerpts from reviews, were right before the conclusion and interrupted the flow of the book. (By the way, Finding Family is an excellent book which should be read by anyone wanting insights into how to research birth parents in adoptive cases and by others interested in genetic genealogy.) I will be adding this title to the bibliography that I use when I teaching "Beginning DNA" classes to genealogists. ( ) no reviews | add a review
