A self-published tome by a long serving member of the Berbice Cricket Board (a region of Guyana). The title is somewhat misleading as while cricketers are mentioned, "A time in our history", centres on the administration of Berbice cricket, and the figures involved, including our author, Mr George.

Being self-published, "A time in our history" has a few quirks, including spelling and grammar issues, a habit of referring to Test cricketers as "testites" (a word I had never heard of before, or since), a few more all-caps sentences than I would have felt necessary and a page dedicated to advice to young players.

Still, if you're interested in cricket in a region of Guyana, and don't mind the almost depressing rate of Berbice cricket people emigrating to the US, as recorded by Mr George, then I'd recommend it. ( )
