I honestly thought that Bash a and the Beast was a pretty good retelling of the original story,Beauty and the Beast, however I felt that it was a bit too short and that the story didn't really have an overall 'major' conflict. ( )

Three and a half stars: beautiful rendering of a classic story. It's not completely off the rails, since it has a beauty and a beast. The story could have done with an antagonist and it could have done without the magic. There is clearly more story that could have been told, but it didn't disappoint. ( )

This book was given to me free through librarything in exchange for an honest review. I felt this book was so strong in the beginning. It had great imagery and easily likeable characters. It has great sentence structures as well as various words and new words. It gives a look at a modern beauty and the beast with scenes that happen everyday such as the tragedies that strike women everyday. I didnt however like how short it ended. It didnt give a look into how she forgave trent and if they ever had a damily of there own. Other than that definitely a quick and easy read. ( )
