The Story of the Youth Who Went Forth to Learn What Fear Was is about a man who did not know fear and wished to shudder. He does many brave acts and is never scared due to not understanding why he would be scared; he continues to desire to shudder and is told if he can survive in a haunted building he can marry a princess. He succeeds and marries the princess, she dumps water on him and he shudders from the cold. This story is a comical and unique Grimm tale that allows students to think critically as well as develop morals of the story. This story can also be used to teach irony due to the character seeking to shudder through fear rather than a simpler means. ( ) no reviews | add a review
