Llywelyn's story starts the compilation with some nonsense about a woman fleeing to Ireland to escape memories of her affair with a married man. There were too many holes, as it jumps from selkie to (lack of) suspense to a smothering male. I kept hoping that the next novela in the series would get better. Wiggs' tale "The Trysting Hour" was the best of the lot, but still didn't get from point A -- the lovers split apart -- to point B -- how did the heroine get where she is? Too frustrating, so I gave up. 1/2 star. ( ) no reviews | add a review
